WHAT DOES A FAMILY NEED TO KNOW?

  • Portraits and viewing are on the same day!
  • The complimentary photo can either be a family photo or just the kids. It's your choice!
  • You choose the photos and layout styles you want.
  • You should allow an hour for your shoot and photo viewing.
  • Each person can only be photographed in ONE complimentary family photo.
  • Grandparents and other family members are welcome in your sitting.
  • You need to arrive in the clothes that you want to be photographed in and we recommend that you avoid lots of strong patterns or white tops (clean denim looks great).
  • Make sure you know your appointment time. If you're unsure check with your coordinator.
  • We ask that you arrive 5 minutes early to fill in a portrait sitting card and to relax for a few minutes before the fun begins.

WHAT HAPPENS DURING THE PHOTO SESSION?

When it's time for your photo session we bring you into our plain white (high key) studio setting and start having fun. We pose you casually and we have a laugh while we are taking photos.

We will photograph your whole family together, your kids together and individually, just parents and any other combinations that you may like. We aim to get a lot of variety during the shoot. There is no limit to the number of different poses that we can do. Have a look at our Gallery page to give you some ideas.

The shoot will take approximately 15 minutes, during which we expect to capture between 40 and 60 images, depending on the number in the family.

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN WE FINISH YOUR PHOTO SESSION?

Viewing of your images will be immediately after your photographic session. A viewing consultant will take you through all of the photos and help you choose your complimentary FAMILY photo and frame. You will also get to select the photos you like the best and decide if you would like to purchase any extra photos or a package. Viewing times vary depending on the number of photos taken and on your choice of package. On average viewing takes around 30 minutes.

HOW MUCH DO EXTRA PHOTOS COST?

Extra prints begin from as little as $60, we also have several value added packages and many other options including collages, storyboards, portfolio CDs and poster prints, the choices are amazing. For example, our Sapphire Package contains 4 prints of your choice plus a framed 10"x13" collage made up of another 4 images for just $260!  Or if you prefer your images in a digital format to reproduce as you wish we have a CD with 25 of your favourite images available for just $300.  The only thing to remember is to come prepared as the photo day is the only day that you can purchase the photos at reduced prices. We accept Credit Card, EFTPOS, Cash and Cheque on the day.

If you are unable to pay in full on the day you will need to pay a deposit so your order can be placed on our 12 week late payment plan which will attract a $25 late payment fee for additional postage and handling.

HOW MUCH WILL MY SCHOOL/PRESCHOOL RAISE?

  • The $20 you pay goes directly to your school/preschool.
  • SchoolPix will pay a Sales Bonus ranging from $5 to $40 per family for packages ordered and paid for in full on the day once a minimum sales level has been achieved.

    WHEN DO I GET MY PHOTOS?

    All of your photos will arrive individually packed with privacy assured approximately 3 weeks after the photography. Your coordinator will then distribute the orders to you directly.
